Parents Guide to Google Classroom

Homework

Homework is set via pupils school Google classroom account on a FRIDAY.

It is to be completed in pupils homework books.

It is due back into school the following WEDNESDAY.

Homework clubs are run by each year group to support or complete work.

Years 3 -5 will receive the following:

Spelling – Pupils will be required to practise up to 10 spellings and then will be tested on these the following week - see spelling journal. Games on Ed Shed are optional. See Spelling Shed.

English – Spelling, punctuation and Grammar task (SPaG) - Pupils will be required to practise this skill using neat, joined handwriting.

Times Tables – Pupils are encouraged to practice their times tables a little bit each day on Times Tables Rock Stars.

Maths – Arithmetic/weeks focus.

Where in the World? – A question aimed at researching and understanding the world we live in.

Topic Task – Optional projects tasks linked to foundation subjects will be set each half term.

Year 6 will receive a Maths, SPAG and Reading task via LBQ (Learning By Questions) Spellings same as Years 3-5.
